Players in the business process transformation … KPMG.

First and foremost, KPMG is a certified public accountant.  The first question to ask is, are they your CPA?  If they are, is it a conflict of interest for your CPA to have it both audits and transform.

Once that question has been asked and answered, examine the services provided by KPMG

1. KPMG has a formal process to implement a project management office for business transformation to coordinate efforts across divisions and departments.

2.  KPMG’s next transformation service is to review and reengineer your internal audit practice.

3.  Next is a review of IT risk management.  Since information systems are crucial to the transformation process, IT is addressed early in the process.

4.  Lastly, KPMG analyzes personnel organization to see the human resources optimally aligned with the work to be done.

Bottom line.

If you worry large company, let’s say $1,000,000,000 in revenue with a complex organization, and KPMG is not already your auditor, they may be a candidate as your transformation partner.
